Performance is comparable — the flake system is built on the same industrial three-layer architecture — so it's about the floor's job. Solid high-gloss colors give the porcelain-like finish that's easiest to spot leaks, dropped parts, and spills against, which is why shops and production floors usually go solid. Flake finishes hide everyday dirt, dust, and imperfections between cleanings and bring a more finished, showroom look — popular for customer-facing spaces, break areas, and facilities that want the floor looking clean on day 300, not just day 1. At the end of the day, it's personal preference, but keep in mind that small parts are hard to find on a flake floor!
