Very much — power-troweled warehouse slabs are too dense and slick for acid etching on large floors to open up properly, so plan on diamond grinding or shotblasting for mechanical profile. It's the difference between a coating that lasts 15 years and one that peels in sheets. On the plus side, grinding is fast on open warehouse floors and rental grinders handle it fine.
