Saw-cut control joints can be filled with a joint filler and coated over for a smooth, cleanable floor if your floor is done settling. True expansion joints with expansion material in them must stay functional — coat up to them and re-caulk the joint itself with a flexible sealant. Tell us about your slab layout when ordering and we'll walk you through which is which.
