Question: I have a new floor do I have to etch or grind it?
Answer: Yes, all floors must be etched or diamond ground to profile them and to remove curing residues. New floors are most likely power trowelled smooth, so if you're etching, you need to etch twice to ensure a proper profile and open pores. If you diamond grind, you don't have to etch, which saves you dry time.
Question: Can I epoxy the curbs inside my garage?
Answer: Yes, you can measure the square footage of the curbs and then double it to be sure you have enough material. Curbs are notorious for taking double the amount of epoxy than the floor does. You can also apply the color flakes to the curbs to make a continuous finish from floor to curb.
