Epoxy coating provides a durable, chemical-resistant, and easy-to-clean surface, making it ideal for garages and industrial floors. However, it can be expensive if done by a professional or franchise company, requires proper surface preparation, and may become slippery when wet if a nonslip additive is not used. Epoxy coatings will not work well on exposed aggregate concrete floors or floors with moisture coming up through the bottom of the slab unless an epoxy moisture proof primer is used first which can be costly.
