Flake or chip coverage refers to the density of decorative flakes broadcast onto the epoxy, which enhances the floor's look. Heavy flake coverage (like 90-95% in the Armor Granite Garage Epoxy Floor Kit) gives a granite-like, nearly seamless appearance, while medium coverage (70-75% in the Armor Chip Garage Epoxy Floor Kits) offers a balanced decorative effect. Higher coverage also helps hide imperfections in the concrete. Choosing between flake coverage levels allows you to customize the floor's style to your preference. Please note that while the flakes do add a bit of texture to the finish, we do not consider this a slip resistance, flakes do not and are not intended to provide slip resistance, always use the included nonslip additive for proper slip resistance.
