The kit includes 2 pounds of concrete etching powder. Etching powder prepares the concrete surface for coating, promoting better adhesion and longevity. For new concrete, we recommend purchasing 1-2 gallons of muriatic acid to do a second etch to ensure all the curing residues are removed. Also, new concrete is power trowelled smooth, a second etch ensures the concrete pores are open up properly for maximum adhesion.
