Yes, you can coat over existing floors by using the Bonding Primer included in the system. This allows for easy renovations without needing to remove old flooring, saving labor and disposal costs. Pro Tip: Be sure the existing coating is still well bonded to the floor. If more than 25% of the existing coating has peeled off then we recommend grinding off all the existing coating and starting fresh. If you're unsure, test the coating's adhesion by scoring a 12" x12" area with 1/4" squares with a utility knife, then cover it fully with a good quality duct tape, then rip it off. If more than 10% of the squares come off the rest of the coating has to come off, if not, you're good to prime with our Epoxy Bonding Primer.
